My friend and former colleague, Sumit Guha, decided it was time to get married in late 2003. I was one of a few privileged folks from the US to attend his wedding, a traditional weeklong ceremony held in eastern India (Kolkata and Ranchi). Although Sumit grew up in the UK and lives/works out of San Francisco, his family is from Kolkata.

I couldn’t have picked a better bride for Sumit, in that Ana is not only bright and charming, but beatiful as well. During my trip her family welcomed me and the others as their own and so I send out thanks to Ana’s and Sumit’s families.

During my trip, I took an additional week and travelled around India, visiting Jaipur, Agra and Delhi (and everywhere in-between). Of course, one of the notable attributes of this trek was visiting the Taj Mahal in Agra. See the photos below:
