Successful Flight Day

Here I am with the Stryker F27 fighter jet.
Success Flight Day (cont.)
Well with minimal casualties, Travis and I had a very successful flight day. My first flight out, given we were filming, I lost control during a series of barrel rolls and crashed my jet for the first time. The front fuselage was in pieces but in about 10-15 minutes and some packing tape, I was ready to fly again. I wrecked a couple other times and then had a really good flight and ran out an entire battery and coasted the plane to a safe landing.
Travis had no casualties this day and went through 3 battery packs and many take offs and landings, low flights, loops and other tricks. We’re getting better! See the pics below and soon I’ll piece together a video of some of our airtime.

After my first day of flying last Friday, I realized that it was difficult to tell in the air which side was up and down so I customized the paint job on the bottom with a bright yellow with red tip so I knew which direction it was flying. A real jet would have a sky blue bottom to make it difficult to see but that didn’t help me keep it in the air so I made some modifications.

Travis flew his Aero Bird given he and another buddy need to wait for their parts for their crashed jets. It was a perfect day for flying and later in the afternoon the wind picked up and we called it a day - both planes in tact.
