Paris & Nikki wait for Jamie as she comes upstairs with a warm basket of clothes from the laundry. Before she can get to the top step, Paris jumps in the basket and she dumps them out on the sofa before folding. If Nikki is already on the sofa, you can see below why a lot of my clothes have cat hair.

I notice that a lot of visitors to my site are from Japan and throughout Asia so I just wanted to thank my Japanese guests for visiting. I like visiting Japan and although I haven’t been back in several years, I do plan on visiting again soon. My next trip I hope to explore more of Japan instead of just staying in Tokyo although I love the food in Shibuya Ku, shopping in Ginza Ku and night life in Ropongi (of course, I’m gaijin). Also, Matty O, if you’re one of those guests I promise we’ll meet up this go round.
Arigatou, dou itashimashite.
My favorite: toire wa doko desu ka. Don’t worry, I’ll find it!

After tallying up the votes, it is decided. We are going to visit friends in Turks & Caicos. I’ll come up with a new poll but appreciate those who participated in our “Best Caribbean Destination”. Eventually we’ll hit them all; we really loved Cozumel and I’ll report on Turks & Caicos / Miami likely at the end of April.
In between now and then I may have some business travel to the west coast, visiting Seattle and Portland and likely San Francisco. Mid-March we’ll be in Las Vegas.
Thanks again and I’ll come up with some interesting things to write about (or not, but still write anyway, ha ha).

My friend Wenmei, our “Team SF” genius, asked me to keep the 7 things “IT” blog tag rolling and normally I never do those things but why the heck not. I have a feeling this is a lot harder than I imagine to think of 7 wierd things about yourself and list them. Here’s my try:

Jamie turns a quarter century (25)! In the previous post you can see my jet and below you see my Ferrari; man I’m lucky!

My wife Jamie on her 25th birthday “sporting” the Ferrari shirt - what a hottie!

First I’d like to send a birthday “shout out” to my buddy Jamy Frost. He just turned the big 3-0 today so let’s all cheer!
My day is coming in exactly 2 months (March 21) so I cannot tease him too much longer. Brandon is next though (Feb 15).

I thought these were pretty funny and being from Montana, I do actually understand every one of them. Missoula is a little different than most of the state but 90% of these things could likely be checked off the list, ha ha. Enjoy!

I’m posting this just for my buddy Rich who lives in Denver Colorado. He recently saw a show in the History Channel that spoke about Glacial Lake Missoula and history of where I live. I try to explain how beautiful it is and have some great aerial photos I’ll find of the valley but here are 3 pics taken just now out my office window of Lolo Peak and Blue Mountain that surround the West/Southwest side of town. There are mountains on all sides of the valley which is perphaps 7-8 miles in diameter (similar geographic area as San Francisco).

This year my wife Jamie accompanied me to CES. My purpose this year was mainly to network with select companies and then simply enjoy the show, and Las Vegas. We met up with some local friends the first day and then dined in some nice venues throughout the week, taking in the Lance Burton magic show and hitting a club one evening (thanks Kim and Julie!). We were fortunate enough to receive an upgrade on our already outrageously-priced hotel room (average $400+/night during CES week) and enjoyed a suite that normally cost double that amount on regular days.

I will be at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next week and am a subscriber to various e-zines. I just received this alert about LGs new dual-format high-def DVD player and thought I would share. Several friends have inquired as to whether they should purchase a player and like we all may recall, the “war” between VHS and Beta and Sony vs. Toshiba on compact discs, Laserdiscs vs. DVD and now HD DVD there always emerges a standard, so I recommended waiting. Well LG decided to make the earlier adopters’ pain a little more bearable with their new product.

Here is workstation 1. I currently sit here when I’m in the lab, but I use my MacBook Pro notebook given I work between various offices. Lately I’ve spent a lot of time in the lab, wrapping up various product development and operations projects.
