Viva Las Vegas - CES Show this week

January 4th, 2006 by Mike Sparr

Gadget freak and technologist that I am, I could not resist the opportunity to hang out with friends in Las Vegas and explore 28 football fields of the latest electronics, software and mobile technologies. As one of my current ventures includes a component that may work with a lot of these products, a little R&D session with “the boyz” is in order, but I’m certain some poker, clubbin’ and brainstorming is in order too.

I’ll be in Las Vegas from Thursday - Sunday this week (Jan 5-8).

Homage de Iberostar - Cozumel Mexico (06/05)

My bride and future sis-in-law

Jamie, my bride-to-be, and her new sister-in-law while we were in Cozumel, Mexico this June. I figured most my posts lately were textual so I should publish some more pictures. Given the hurricanes this year, the resort we stayed at is now partially “wiped out”. So consider this post my homage to Iberostar, Cozumel. ;-)

Wedding party for Sumit Guha - Kolkata, India

My friend and former colleague, Sumit Guha, decided it was time to get married in late 2003. I was one of a few privileged folks from the US to attend his wedding, a traditional weeklong ceremony held in eastern India (Kolkata and Ranchi). Although Sumit grew up in the UK and lives/works out of San Francisco, his family is from Kolkata.
